To be a useful part of your Pre-construction Team your structural erector needs a thorough understanding of how the structural plan fits within the over-all project plan, schedule, site utilization, hoisting needs, and flow of work. Our construction management team averages approximately 30 years of hands-on experience planning and building heavy, complex structures, at multiple levels of responsibility:

On many occasions we have Teamed with the design professionals, prime contractors, and structural fabricators to successfully plan projects such as Dallas Cowboys Stadium, Houston’s George R. Brown Convention Center, Lucas Oil Colts Stadium, Washington D.C. Convention Center, and four major chip manufacturing facilities for Intel Corporation.

On these and the many other landmark projects around the country, our teams have evaluated the site conditions as well as the steel framework of the structure to determine the best and safest approach to the steel erection process, utilizing a comprehensive review by the Project Management, Engineering and Operations elements of our company.

In aid of this project specific erection planning, we utilize an array of Building Information Modeling programs (structural design/analysis, steel detailing models, and graphics information transfer programs), which allow us to download and interface in real-time with the client’s structural analysis or steel detailing model.

We use this information for the evaluation of crane accessibility, crane reach and capacity, temporary shoring loading and location, evaluation of behavior of individual structural elements and assemblies during ground assembly, rigging, crane lifting, launching, and in situ placement, construction and wind loading possibilities, as well as a wide range of design and staged-construction scenarios.
