A native Fort Worth Texan, Brian Isbell is responsible for enabling Derr and Isbell Construction’s vision, strategy, and innovation by managing prioritization, effective resource alignment and accountability across the company. He joined Derr Construction in 1988 as a fourth generation ironworker and has held field positions of increasing responsibility under some of the most respected Superintendents in the trade. In 2002, he became General Superintendent for Derr Steel Erection Company and helped solidify the company’s reputation as an exceedingly professional and dependable partner on complex commercial and industrial structures like the Washington DC Convention Center, Dallas Cowboys’ Stadium, and Lucas Oil Stadium (Indianapolis Colts), just to name a few.
In 2012, Brian, Bob Derr and James Isbell partnered to establish Derr and Isbell Construction, LLC. Brian’s career field experience coupled with his innate passion and pride that comes from “putting lines in the sky” prepared him for a solid commitment to operational excellence and building capabilities for Derr and Isbell Construction’s future growth.
Brian and his wife Michele reside in Roswell, GA. They have three children, Kayla, Zelan, and Indie, and enjoy serving in their church, traveling, and an active lifestyle of running, bicycling, hiking, and horseback riding.
